KITIMAT MHA OFFICIATING CLINIC – SATURDAY, September 21st, 2019

Kitimat Minor Hockey will be holding a certification clinic for all level 1-3 officials on Saturday, September 21st starting at 9 am in room 130 at Mt. Elizabeth Middle Secondary School. The written exam will be administered at around 12:15 pm. Online registration for the clinic is now available at: https://www.bchockey.net/Clinics/Clinics.aspx

An on-ice session at Tamitik will follow from 2:15 pm to 3:15 pm. All level 1 officials (ages 12-15 as of December 31, 2019) are required to attend the on-ice portion, so please bring skates, helmet and a whistle. Level 2 and 3 officials are encouraged to stay for the on-ice session as well.

New officials (no previous experience) are required to complete an online course via Hockey University prior to attending the clinic. It takes approximately 3 hours to complete. This requirement applies to new level 1s and those who will certify as a level 2 official in their first year. Returning officials are not required to do the online course. (NOTE: Hockey Canada will not give credit for the online course until ALL of the associated modules have been completed in full, including the closing survey.)

Please retain receipts from clinic registration, including the online course. Fees will be reimbursed by KMHA at a later date. Officials who are not registered as a player or coach with a minor hockey team are required to pay the participant assessment fee, which will be included in the reimbursement.

Officials who are 18 years of age or older as of December 31, 2019 must have a valid Criminal Record Check completed within the past three years. Details available here:
